lyrics

I’m busking on station street
All the people walk by and I’m looking at their moving feet
One by one they look at my coins
I look at them and I just make a noise
I keep my poise and I think about them
I wonder what their day’s been like in my head
Guy in a suit how much money does he make, you reckon?
I see his watch so I look and I check it
Surely some cash in my container sir
You have heaps of cash in the pockets of your shirt
Your wearing a 3000 dollar suit
And I’m just here just strumming my tunes
But you can’t give me any money
All because you’ve got to by that diamond ring for your honey
And that’s alright
I understand
That’s alright
All these people, no identities
All these faces, I’m meant to see
I make them into characters
What’s their life gonna be like?
Depressed, rich or hungry
Can I see right
I see this guy sitting down having a coffee
I don’t know if he’ll hate me
I don’t know if he’ll froth me
So he comes up, stands next to me
Gives me a five and high five the sky and the breeze
He was blind he gave me some advice, be
Free with your life and your eye sight
Cos I can’t see
These are the people that I meet on the street
When I’m busking looking down at their feet
And I say that’s alright
I understand
That’s alright
All these people, no identities
All these faces, I’m meant to see
I make them into characters
What’s their life gonna be like?
Depressed, rich or hungry
Can I see right
And I see these people and I don’t know their names
But I know their background stories
Like a video game
When they speak to me I get a little more detail
They left their information just like a trail
And I see these people and I don’t know their names
But I know their background stories
Like a video game
When they speak to me I get a little more detail
They left their information just like a trail
All these people, no identities
All these faces, I’m meant to see
I make them into characters
What’s their life gonna be like?
Depressed, rich or hungry
Can I see right
